GVCA Transitioning to K-8 Academy

By Grace Valley Christian Center on Jan 14th, 2015 04:47
Grace Valley Christian Academy will be discontinuing ninth grade at the end of this school year. After much prayer and deliberation, we came to the firm conclusion that GVCA should be a K-8 school.
There are many reasons for this decision. Most high schools in California are 9th-12th grades, and 9th grade classes count towards college admission. This makes it preferable for students to have a continuous high school program. This continuity is particularly important for the increasing number of families who are choosing alternative high school programs. In addition, the state is making significant changes to its high school curriculum, affecting 9th graders throughout California. In light of these and other factors, Grace Valley Christian Academy will be introducing a more traditional K-8 structure beginning this fall.
