Two Grace Valley Christian Academy graduates, Samuel Manderfield ('10) and Don-Wook Shin ('11), were recently named semifinalists in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program competition. This scholarship program honors students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
Out of 1.5 million nationwide participants, Samuel and Don-Wook are among 16,000 semifinalists competing for 8,300 National Merit scholarships, to be awarded in the spring. The pool of semifinalists represents less than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors and includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.
We congratulate Samuel and Don-Wook for their academic achievement. To God be all the glory!
