About Grace Valley Christian Academy

Mrs. Sharon Mathew Broderick

July 1, 2011--Grace Valley Christian Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of Sharon Mathew Broderick as principal at GVCA.

Mrs. Broderick brings a wide variety of experience and gifts to our school.  She earned her B.S. in Biology and Political Science at Grove City College in 1999, and her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2002.  She practiced law for several years, arguing cases before state and federal courts.  Mrs. Broderick previously served as the Assistant General Counsel for the California Natural Resources Agency, appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to help shape law and policy for the state’s natural resources.  She has also lectured in law at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

More recently, Mrs. Broderick has played an integral role in the administration at GVCA, leading many school events.  Mrs. Broderick is also a leader of women’s ministries at Grace Valley Christian Center and regularly teaches Bible courses to women of all ages.  She is a dynamic teacher and is zealous for the salvation of souls.  God is using her to bring many people, young and old, to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  It is our prayer that she will bring this spiritual zeal to GVCA.

As principal, Mrs. Broderick will maintain our high academic standards while bringing more spiritual focus to our beloved Academy.  She is already working with teachers to develop new Bible courses for the upcoming school year, including Christian Heroes (7th grade), Theology (8th and 9th grades), and Introduction to New Testament Greek (8th and 9th grades).  GVCA is also introducing monthly chapel services for all students and interested parents.

Mrs. Broderick is a gifted instructor and leader, and is uniquely equipped to lead GVCA through its second decade of spiritual and academic excellence.  May the Lord continue to bless her efforts and our school.

To God be all the glory!
