From Senior Associate Minister Gerrit Buddingh'

As the world around us becomes increasingly secular and even hostile to our Christian world view, it became clear that we could no longer simply turn our young children over to the public schools for their education. In light of this fact, Pastor Mathew challenged us to start a Christian school. Our church community responded in a community fashion. The result is a cooperative school that daily calls every church family to live a life worthy of the calling we have received.

To know Christ and make Him known to our children is the goal of every Christian parent. This is a daunting challenge. Grace Valley Christian Academy does not supplant parental involvement, but uniquely enhances it in that parents are the faculty and staff. The students, at every moment of the school day, see parents sacrificially living out their faith and commitment to Jesus’ lordship.

Truly, this is God’s gracious work in our midst. May God enable us to sustain the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace that we now enjoy. For Him be all the praise and glory.
